Documentation on Kindle DX

This is not specifically interpreter-related so apologies if wrongly posted:

I just sent this to the (US) Amazon Kindle tech support forum:

I just bought a DX mainly to read tech manuals. Disappointed so far with mixed results: incorrect font representation and (maybe consequential) mis-formatting. Anyone else experienced this problem? So far I have tried: directly loaded PDFs via USB link; PDFs downloaded via Amazon e-mail; PDFs converted to RTF; DOC on my machine then downloaded; PDFs sent to Amazon for conversion to AZW then downloaded.

Nothing seems to give reliable results. these PDFs are typical computer language manuals, mixing proportional and monospaced fonts plus some graphics, but nothing that any of my usual readers on my PC don't handle.

Suggestions, anyone?
