APLX and JAVA

Postby henri » Fri Sep 23, 2016 3:37 pm

Hello,
I try to run the following jointed code (test9.aws, function FENETRE) on MAC OS El Capitan ( with updated JAVA )
The code built a window with swing and JFrame
It works fine on Windows 10
but on MAC it "go around in circles"
A similar Java code is OK on the MAC when using classical compile tool ( DrJava )
So I don't understand the trouble with APLX.
To be note.. the function GetHTML you provide me recently works fine

Thanks for your help
Best regards
Henri

Unfortunately you can't use Java to display user-interface components under APLX for MacOS. This is because the event-handling model is incompatible with Java's event handling, so events never get through to the Java controls. (The Windows event-handling model is different).
